The Heavy Duty table is built for fabricators who push the limits of what a fixture table can do. Its one-inch cast iron top, deeper skirt, and robust construction make it the right choice when your work demands that the table maintain absolute flatness no matter what you put it through. Heavy Duty tables are measurably flatter than Standard Duty tables out of the box and are engineered to maintain that flatness under the most demanding loads.

Heavy Duty 6.5' x 6.5' (78" x 78" x 8")
The Fireball Cast Iron Tables are the best all around tables on the market. They combine the strength of 1” thick top and sides used for heavy duty tables with the more finely spaced 2” grid pattern you find on light to medium duty tables. Gray cast iron naturally resists weld spatter, does not form burrs on the surface, resists deformation, and once machined flat, it stays flat.
Combined with the patent pending Fireball 3/4" Fixture System, Fireball tables and fixtures are the fastest, simplest, and most secure fixture system.
CHOOSE THE HEAVY DUTY IF YOU:
• Straighten frames, chassis, or large structural assemblies — where the table needs to resist significant warping forces
• Regularly work with large, heavy weldments — that generate substantial twisting or pulling loads
• Frequently expand work off the sides of the table — using large cast iron accessories and blocks
• Need the highest level of long-term flatness retention — under repeated heavy production use

What Sets Every Fireball Table Apart
• Oversized Surface Area — Fireball tables are larger than the industry-standard 4×8 format, providing approximately 20% more working surface. That extra space matters when positioning fixtures around a full-sized weldment.
• Higher Hole Resolution — The 3/4-inch hole system at tighter hole centers gives you the strength advantages of a 28mm-style system combined with the finer positional resolution of a 16mm-style system — in one table.
• Machined Grid Lines and Perimeter Labeling — Every hole on a Fireball table has a unique label. Record exactly where every fixture was placed, come back weeks later, and set everything back up in minutes.
• 100% Cross-Compatibility — Every Fireball table uses the exact same hole centers and spacing. Your tooling works on every table, and any two tables can be combined seamlessly.
• The 3/4-Inch Hole — A Century-Old Standard — The 3/4-inch hole has been shared between woodworkers and blacksmiths for over 100 years. Standard off-the-shelf 3/4-inch bolts work directly in the table — no specialized fasteners required.
• Rigidity That Doesn’t Depend on Your Floor — Fireball tables are engineered so rigid that they do not need to be leveled to be flat. The table is isolated from the floor — whether your shop floor is perfectly flat or not, your table surface will be.
Unique Features of the Fireball Fixture System
The Fireball 3/4 fixture system uses the same fixtures for all tables. So whether you are starting with a mobile 1/2" thick plate or a truck sized heavy duty table, all fixtures work on both tables.

Unique and versatile clamps.
Heavy Duty and Light Duty tables use the same fixtures and backward compatible (compare to ⅝ and 16mm, and 28mm)
Explaining FA75 Fixture System
- The entire Fireball Table system is based on 3/4” diameter hole sizes on a 2” grid pattern.
- All fixtures are also based on a 3/4” diameter hole size and use 1” thick by 2” wide fixtures.
- Tables and plates come in different thicknesses for different applications and price points, but ALL Fireball 3/4” fixtures are compatible with ALL Fireball 3/4” tables whether it’s a 3500 lb heavy duty table or a portable 50 lb plate.
Why 3/4” Hole System
- 45% larger cross section compared to ⅝” and 16mm holes means strong bolts, stronger clamp.
- Largest hole size while still having a 2” grid pattern on the table and 1” hole pattern on fixtures.
Why 2” Grid Pattern
- The 2” grid pattern is the ideal hole density to get clamps and fixtures where you need them.
- Many fixtures require 2 bolts to properly align them. Having a 2” grid pattern allows shorter, more compact fixtures compared to 4” hole spacing. This is even more important when fixtures have slots to bridge the gap to the next hole, and is the difference between a 4” on a 2” grid, vs an 8” slot on a 4” grid.

Factory Seconds
Producing large castings with perfect surfaces is a difficult task. The larger the surface area, the more likely there is to be some air pockets or voids during the casting process that only show up after machining.
Our castings are optimized to produce a high quality top surface, but even a typical table will often have some small imperfections on the top or side of the machined surfaces.
When the tables experience a higher number or severity of surface defects we designate them as factory seconds and sell them at a discounted price.
Customers who order factory seconds will receive photographs of the table before shipping.
